This Privacy Policy explains how Aurayah, LLC ("Aurayah," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and processes information.
This policy describes how information is handled when you use Aurayah. Our optional usage analytics are self-hosted, cookieless, and not linked to member accounts. We do not collect or store names, email addresses, account identifiers, or private content such as messages, notes, and search text in these analytics. You can manage these analytics in Analytics settings without signing in, or in Account Settings under General.
1. Information We Collect
Aurayah may collect information including:
- names;
- email addresses;
- billing addresses;
- payment-related information;
- profile information;
- account credentials;
- comments;
- reactions;
- engagement activity;
- submitted questions;
- Livestream participation;
- communications; and
- technical usage information.
We use sign-in cookies and browser storage for site features and preferences. Our usage analytics and media players also process technical information, as explained below.
2. How Information Is Used
Aurayah may use information to:
- operate and improve the platform;
- process memberships and payments;
- authenticate users;
- maintain security and moderation systems;
- respond to inquiries;
- deliver Teachings and Livestreams;
- provide communications and announcements;
- improve functionality and user experience;
- comply with legal obligations;
- investigate misuse or violations; and
- support operational, educational, and business activities.
3. Payments
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.
Aurayah does not guarantee exclusive control over information processed through third-party payment providers.
Payment providers may separately collect, process, and retain information under their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Cookies, Browser Storage, and Analytics
Sign-in cookies and browser storage
Sign-in cookies maintain and refresh your authenticated session. They can remain between visits, with a configured lifetime of up to 400 days from when they are set or refreshed. This does not mean an individual access token remains valid for that long. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in and access to member features.
We also use this browser's local storage to remember:
- your color-theme preference;
- your choice to turn usage analytics off; and
- unfinished message, question, and private-note drafts.
These entries do not have an automatic expiry. Draft entries are removed when their text is cleared; preferences remain until changed or cleared. You can remove stored entries through your browser's site-data controls. Clearing site data also removes your saved analytics opt-out. Draft contents are not included in our usage analytics.
Optional usage analytics
We run our own self-hosted, cookieless analytics to understand and improve Aurayah. We measure traffic sources, content and feature engagement, membership journeys, and site performance, using metrics such as page visits, approximate engagement time, media playback, and checkout attempts. These analytics events are not linked to member accounts.
We do not collect or store message contents, private note contents, selected quote text, names, email addresses, account identifiers, or search text in our usage analytics. We do not make session recordings or automatically capture clicks and form entries. We use no analytics cookies and store no analytics identifiers in browser storage.
Our self-hosted analytics process network information, including your IP address and browser information, to derive approximate location and group activity using a periodically changing identifier. IP addresses are processed during the request but are not stored in our analytics database. Our hosting providers also receive network information to operate and secure the site.
When available on the site, usage analytics is on by default unless you turn it off in Analytics settings (no sign-in required) or Account Settings under General → Usage analytics, or your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Your opt-out applies to this browser and is saved in local storage. If storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for the current page. Turning usage analytics off stops new usage-analytics events from being collected; it does not delete events already collected.
Separately, administrators use summaries of existing account, membership, payment, and feature records to understand participation and operate the service. This includes member-level summaries, such as the most recent sign-in and counts of recorded actions. These reports do not include private message or note contents. The usage-analytics preference does not stop the creation of records needed to provide features you use, or remove those records from these summaries.
Media playback
Our audio and video provider receives playback requests and technical information to deliver media. The provider's playback analytics and analytics cookies are disabled in our audio, video, and live-session players. Our own optional media-engagement measurements are covered by the usage-analytics preference in Account Settings.
5. Communications
Aurayah may send:
- transactional emails;
- receipts;
- account notices;
- platform updates;
- Livestream announcements;
- newsletters; and
- marketing communications.
Users may unsubscribe from optional marketing communications using the unsubscribe link included in emails.
Users remain responsible for maintaining accurate contact information.
Aurayah is not responsible for missed non-transactional communications caused by opt-out settings, spam filtering, incorrect contact information, technical issues, or third-party delivery failures.
6. Community and Livestream Visibility
Information shared voluntarily in public community spaces or Livestream chats may be visible to other participants.
Users should avoid sharing sensitive information in public participation areas.
Aurayah may moderate, archive, review, or remove community content at its discretion.
7. Data Retention
Aurayah may retain information for legal, operational, moderation, security, payment, tax, compliance, fraud-prevention, archival, and business purposes.
Aurayah reserves the right to retain records even after memberships are canceled or accounts become inactive.
Requests regarding account or data deletion may be reviewed in accordance with applicable laws and Aurayah's operational requirements.
8. Third-Party Services
Aurayah may incorporate third-party technologies and services including:
- website and database hosting providers;
- payment providers;
- analytics tools;
- Livestream systems;
- communication providers;
- integrated community platforms; and
- future mobile or platform services.
Third-party providers may separately process information according to their own policies.
Aurayah is not responsible for third-party operations or privacy practices.
9. International Users
Aurayah operates from the United States.
By using the platform internationally, users acknowledge that information may be processed or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions.
Users are responsible for compliance with laws applicable to their jurisdiction.
10. Security
Aurayah uses reasonable operational and technical measures intended to support platform security.
However, no digital platform, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Users use the platform at their own risk.
11. Children's Privacy
Aurayah is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older.
Aurayah does not knowingly provide memberships or services to minors.
12. Policy Changes
Aurayah may modify this Privacy Policy at any time.
Users are responsible for reviewing current policies.
Notices will be provided where legally required.
